8 Albums that made me feel things in 2013

I really didn't listen to nearly enough shit that came out this year. It's sad considering how much was recommended to me. Still, I did manage to listen to like fifteen or sixteen albums that came out from January until December. Here are the ones that appealed to me the most. In other words, they either made me feel like fucking punching someone in the face, or hugging up on someone and crying like a little bitch.

Chelsea Wolfe and Deafheaven. Not a bad list though a bit surprised Ghost didn't make you're final top since you're so into them

I just kind of wanted to keep a small list.

Chelsea Wolfe and her band, along with Deafheaven are pretty talented. I enjoyed the shit out of Sunbather, though in all truth you could find the same or similar sounds in other CA based black metal artists like Bosse-de-nage or Atlas Moth.

I don't think I could pick a definite favorite between Deafheaven and Defeater, though.

Defeater came through with a really dark and depressing (final?) addition to their 'broken post-WWII family' story. I figure final in the series, as this one makes it a trilogy, and the mom's parts are explained through the other three characters' story arcs.

And Deafheaven just generally make shit that shouldn't work, yet somehow does. I figure they're just a band that either you like them or you don't think they're KVLT enough.
