All the levels on all the campaigns are open right from the start of the game and you can play them at any difficulty. In Halo 3 and 4, the last stage isn’t a stage – it’s an epilogue cutscene. If you want to see the secret endings, all you have to do is select the level, turn up the difficulty to Legendary and sit back.

Halo 3 offers a tease for what would eventually be Halo 4 and I won’t spoil Halo 4’s secret ending if you haven't seen it (and don't want to google it). All you have to do is wait a few days.
