Classic Fallout Titles Will Return To Steam

In addition to the titles disappearing from GoG, the Steam catalog is also missing classic Fallout. If you’ve already purchased them in either place, you’ll experience no disruption, but if you’re looking to acquire them on Steam, you’ll have to wait a bit.

Bethesda is actively working to get the titles available for purchase once more via Valve’s platform. “We’re working to return classic @Fallout games (1, 2, Tactics) to Steam and will provide an update when they’re ready to go,” the official Bethesda Twitter account posted yesterday.

Recent entries in the series, Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas, are unaffected as they were initially published by Bethesda. The classic titles still have store pages (with the publisher now changed to Bethesda), but the games cannot be added to a cart or purchased. No specific time frame for the return of the three titles has been discussed.
