- When asked about the likelihood of an Assassin’s Creed game coming to Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in 2014 Ubisoft’s Tony Key told IGN, “we haven’t forgotten about our loyal Assassin’s Creed fans on those systems.”
A recent report suggests that Assassin’s Creed Comet is in development for Xbox 360/PS3, and Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot claimed the series would stay the course on last-gen consoles for the foreseeable future.
Ubisoft is aware that “Assassin’s Creed has a ton of fans that don’t have a next-gen system,” Key said, “so we’ll do our best to take care of them. As soon as we have something to talk about, we will.”
When asked about a separate Assassin’s Creed game on those platforms, Key explained that creating a different game requires “a lot of resources,” and must make sense from a business perspective. “We can’t do it only out of love,” Key said.
“The idea that there are still millions of people playing on current gen is not lost on us,” Key said. Source | |
