- Nintendo has had its hands full with network problems since the morning of December 25. We heard buzz that the Pokémon Bank and Poké Transporter applications designed to import Pokémon from previous versions of the series and between X and Y have been delayed. We now have confirmation directly from Nintendo.
Nintendo responded to our earlier inquiry, directing us to a new help notice on the 3DS support site. “Nintendo and The Pokémon Company International have postponed the launch of Pokémon Bank and Poké Transporter - two software applications that were originally scheduled to launch for Nintendo 3DS on Dec. 27 - due to a large volume of traffic to the Nintendo Network service,” the statement reads. “Due to the high traffic, players are having trouble setting up Nintendo Network IDs and downloading content in the Nintendo eShop on both Wii U and Nintendo 3DS.”
Nintendo of America tweeted earlier that it was still investigating the company-wide eShop problems that are afflicting the Wii U, 3DS, Wii, and DSi platforms. Source | |
