CinemaNow Begins Disc-to-Digital DVD Cloud Storage Program

Once complete, users will be able to download or stream their collection of films and TV shows to any device running CinemaNow software.

Promising as it may sound, the program isn't without its flaws. Users are only allowed to rip and sync certain DVDs from studios Best Buy has secured partnerships with. While pricing is comparable to Walmart's in-store disc-to-digital service, CinemaNow's rates vary from title to title. The service also lacks support for Blu-ray content, which could be a sticking point for users with robust HD collections.
